Natural Heals

"Natural Heals" was one of the priceless projects which made us address a major issue which society ignores due to busy schedules.

There is nothing more important or valuable for a person than good health in the world. Oriental medicine and allopathy are the two major types of medical treatments in Sri Lanka. Oriental medicine is familiar with us as Ayurvedic medicine. Ayurvedic medicine which has a long, as well as awe-inspiring history, is the most preferable way to immunity in our body. The Ayurvedic tradition has changed the lives of countless people for literally thousands of years. Reading their insights can help you better  appreciate the way. It is a common thing that Ayurveda teaches us to recover from diseases naturally.

" When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use. When diet is correct medicine is of no need. In fact, this depicts how much it is important to prevent diseases naturally."

With the great effort of Leos, University of Moratuwa and with the kind-hearted dedication of Dr D. N. Ranathunga, we were able to reach the top level of our effort with the project "Natural Heals",  awakening the society with the most appropriate solutions for common health problems which have swallowed the society today. There is no argument that diabetes is the most common health problem which has the ability to turn human beings of all ages into critical conditions. So, we mainly focused on addressing diabetes patients with suitable natural remedies. Our effort succeed as a virtual programme with the great collaboration of Dr D. N. Ranathunga, giving society a valuable, appropriate and powerful message.

Believer

Have you ever thought about how much believing in yourself makes a difference in your quality of life?

If you really don't believe that you can do something, you are going to miss most of the chances of successfully achieving your goals. Believe in your infinite potential. Your only limitations are those you set upon yourself.

With the prevailing condition of the world, UoM Leos were searching to do something more fruitful. Believer , the project launched by Leo Club of the University of Moratuwa is to make your dream valuable. Believer believes you. So, you need to follow its guidance to make your dream a reality.

Believer
is filled with the video series which includes inspirational speeches related to the most successful persons in the world to encourage you and motivate you. We decided to publish this series of videos via Youtube, Facebook and WhatsApp and are delighted to conduct this motivative project as Leos on behalf of the community under a serious situation of the world.

Whatever you wish to achieve, will be yours until you believe in yourself. All the tools are with you. When you are making progress, life would examine you with difficult experiments. Don't worry‼. The person inside you is far stronger to overcome them.

SIYAPATHA

“Orphanages are the only places that ever make us feel empty and full at the same time

It was a true bliss that as the Leos of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, we could flourish more than 30 adrift and innocent little hearts in Saint John Boys’ children’s home and Saint Joseph Girls’ children’s home in Kegalle with humble applause through the project “Trip With Kids” by accompanying them to visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage on the 4th of October 2020 concurrent with the Children’s Day.

The smile brightening those goody-goody faces declared that they enjoyed the day to the best through many events such as watching playing elephants, the bath of elephants and the fun events such as drawing arts and filling puzzles. They also had the chance to enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch with their friends. They were gifted with small presents at the end of the day.

Our deeds were highly appreciated by the staffs of both children’s homes and it was such an amazing day spent with those lovely children and amiable elephants. At the end of this great social service we were able to have heartfelt humble gladness beyond the success through the happiness came from the faces and lovable little hearts.

Learn From Home

Getting ready well before anything brings a lot of conveniences. That is why it is so essential in the field of education as well. Therefore we, UoM Leos thought it would be worthwhile if we could assist brothers and sisters who are awaiting university entrance to get prepared in advance for the university studies. This is why we brought the project "Learn from Home" to progress.

In phase 1 of the project, the students who are expecting to enter the University of Moratuwa were offered online courses relevant to the degree programs they wish to pursue. Mostly, those online courses were applicable for them to improve their knowledge of the modules they would learn in the first and second semesters at the university.

Thus, a significant number of students have enrolled in those courses and we hope they have gained a proper understanding of their university education. In the same time, the Learn from Home phase 2 is anticipated to launch soon.
