BURN LESS – SAVE MORE  

‘The earth, water and the air are not a gift to us from our parents, but a loan for our children. Hence we need to make energy conservation a habit.”

Conservation of electrical energy can help to lessen pollution and reduce the

greenhouse gas emissions. At home, simple actions such as turning off lights and unplugging computers or turning off televisions can help us reduce our consumption and thereby conserve energy. The energy survey, “Burn Less -  Save More” is organized by UoM Leos together with Leo Club of Central College, Piliyandala and Leo Club of Presbyterian College, Dehiwala, with the intention of having 

a comprehensive analysis on energy usage of Colombo-South householders from 18^th of February to 17^th of April 2018. The initial stage of the project was successfully held on 18^th of February. We hope that the project is a way forward to the energy conservation, which is an essential need of today.

වදනින් තම සිතැඟි ලෝකයයට හඩගා කියන්නට වරම් නොලදත් පුංචි සිඟිත්තන්ට තම  සිතුවමින් ලෝකය අවදි කරන්නට අවකාශය සලසමින් මොරටුව විශ්වවිද්‍යාලීය ලියෝ සමාජය වන අපි, පිළියන්දල ලියෝ සමාජය, බද්දේගම ලියෝ සමාජය,මත්තේගොඩ ලියෝ සමාජය,පොල්ගස්ඕවීට ලියෝ සමාජය සමඟ එක්ව ඩාවින්සි සිතුවම් තරඟය රත්මලාන අන්ධ බිහිරි පාසලේදී පෙබරවාරි 14 වන දින  පස්වරු 4.00  සිට පැවැත්වීමු.

පුංචි සිඟිත්තන් ඉමහත් ප්‍රබෝධයෙන් සිතුවම් ඇදීමේ නිරත වෙද්දී ලියෝ සාමාජිකයන්ද පසෙකට වී නොඉද ඔවුන්ගේ වටපිටාව අලංකාර කිරීමට තමන්ට  හැකි අයුරින්

 දායකත්වයෙන් ලබා දුනි.

තමන්ට ලෝකයෙන් සිදුවූ අසධාරණය හමුවේ නොසැලී ලෝකය දිහා නවමු කෝණයකින් බලන්නට ලබා දෙමින් ඩාවින්සි සිතුවම් තරඟය නොමැකෙන මතක සටහන් රැසක් පුංචි හදවත් වල ඉතිරි කරමින්  නිම වූයේ තවත් අති සාර්ථක ව්‍යාපෘතියක් ලෙස ලියෝ දින පොතේ එදින සටහන් විය.

LEO YOUTH CAMP

     Leo youth camp was held on 16^th to 18^th of February 2018 at Youth crop NAULA. Sixteen Leos of Leo club of university of Moratuwa took part in this event. At the closing ceremony of the camp Leo Kasun Ramanayaka, the vice president of UoM Leo club was awarded as the best actor of the camp for his performance of three days, and Leo Praminda Vindika, one of the well-nown Leos of UoM Leo club was awarded as the best singer of the camp and Leo Dilan Nuwan who was a fresher of the carrier awarded as the most enthusiastic camper.

This youth camp became an amazing experience for all Leos including more than fifty new Leos who participated. For sure they may have grabbed many delightful memories for their lives. We would like to offer our heartiest gratitude to Leo Kalindu Dissanayake, Leo Desha Thalduwage and team for organizing such a tremendous event.

මොරටුව විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය තාක්ෂණික  විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයක් ලෙසින් ලංකාවේ බොහොමයක් දැන සිටියත් තාක්ෂණික හැකියාවන්ට සිමා නොවූ කලා හැකියාවනුත් නොඅඩුව ඇති බවට පෙන්වා දීමට ලියෝ සමාජයේ අපි ලියෝ පැදුර සංවිධානය කළෙමු.

දුරුතු මහේ 28 වන ඉරු දින හයේ කනිසමට ලියෝ ලංකා සභාපති ලියෝ ලයන් ප්‍රමෝද් විමලතුංග , ලියෝ ලංකා ලේකම් ලියෝ ලයන් කේසරි සෙනෙවිරත්න ,ලියෝ 306 A2 දිස්ත්‍රික් සභාපති ලියෝ ලයන් කළිදු දිසානායක ඇතුළු  ලංකාවේ  නන් දෙසින් පැමිණි ලියෝවරුන් අභිමුව ලියෝ සමාජයේ අපගේම සහොදරයන්  කණ්ඩායමක් ගීත  ගයමින් දෙසවන් පිනවද්දී තවත් කණ්ඩායමක් නර්තනයන් නෙත් පිනවමින්ද අනෙක් කණ්ඩායම රංගනයෙන් සහය වෙමින් ද ලියෝ  පැදුර වර්ණවත් කලෝය.

මොරටුව ලියෝ සමාජයේ අපගේ  හැකියාවන් විදහා දැක්වීමට අනගි තෝතැන්නක් වු ලියෝ පැදුර නිමාව සනිටුහන් කළේ කාගෙ කාගේත් සිත් තුළ අමතක නොවන මතක සටහන්  රැසක් ඉතිරි කරමිනි.
