You are the One

“You are the one”- Leadership Development program was held at M/Deiyandara Central College. More than 100 students participated for the program. Within the day they had inspirational speeches from our Leos as well as practical sessions to build up their self-confidence, leadership & team work skills.

Students actively participated for all those events throughout the day & they were keen to make most out of it. Their positive impression about the program motivated our members to do more and more activities with them till evening.

At the end of the day, it was a really successful leadership camp for the students. Even the school staff praised the work carried out by our Leos.

Finally, we are really thankful to everyone who supported us. Hope to see you in another similar kind of event. 

Beach Cleaning Campaign

Another annual event organized by Leo club of University of Moratuwa, Beach Cleaning campaign held this time also at Mount Lavinia beach.

Mount Lavinia beach is world famous beach & attracts thousands of tourists annually. With it’s high attraction it has been vulnerable to environmental problems caused by the irresponsible behavior of local & foreign tourists. 

We, UOM Leos conducted this beach cleaning session in collaboration with the Central Environmental Authority of Sri Lanka on 25th of October 2014.

Along with the beach cleaning we conducted awareness campaign to inspire people toward cleaner country. We distributed leaflets printed by Central Environmental Authority among the people in the area.
