Clean Up Sri Lanka 2025
“Clean Up Sri Lanka 2025” was held on 20 September 2025 at Wellawatta Beach, organized by Lions International District 306 D2 - Region 1. The project brought together Lions and Leos in a collective effort to enhance environmental cleanliness.
Participants actively engaged in clearing waste along the beach, contributing towards maintaining a cleaner and healthier coastal environment. The project highlighted the importance of community involvement in preserving natural spaces.
Leo Club of University of Moratuwa was proud to be a part of this meaningful project, reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility.
Voices for Peace
On the International Day of Peace, 21st of September 2025, Leo Club of University of Moratuwa proudly held the project “Voices for Peace” at Galle Face, Colombo. The event served as a vibrant, open platform for individuals from all walks of life to express their thoughts, hopes and pledges for a world guided by compassion and harmony.
The project was more than a traditional gathering. Visitors, passersby and youth were invited to share their personal reflections on peace, unity and coexistence. Their thoughtful words were collected and shared to amplify these community voices, reminding everyone that peace begins when we truly listen to one another.
Creative displays and placards carrying inspiring messages of harmony added a colorful touch to the event, while open discussions encouraged participants to reflect on the value of empathy, respect and understanding. Every shared message, smile and voice reflected a collective desire for a more peaceful and inclusive tomorrow.
The project served as a powerful reminder that if peace starts with one voice, it becomes a powerful harmony when many speak as one. Leo Club of University of Moratuwa extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants, well-wishers and Leos whose efforts made this meaningful day a success.
Turing Mission 2
Turing Mission 2 was successfully conducted on 19th of September 2025 at Bodhiraja Vidyalaya, Ratnapura. Organized by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, this session continued the AI awareness initiative aimed at empowering school students with essential technological knowledge.
The program focused on introducing key concepts of Artificial Intelligence while highlighting its practical applications in everyday life and various industries. Through structured and interactive engagement, students were encouraged to think critically and develop an interest in emerging digital technologies.
Turing Mission 1
Turing Mission 1 was successfully conducted on 22nd August 2025 at Rahula College, Matara. This interactive AI awareness session series for school students was organized by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa with the objective of enhancing technological awareness among young learners.
The session provided an introduction to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, along with insights into its real-world applications across various fields. Through engaging and interactive discussions, the program aimed to broaden students’ understanding and spark curiosity about emerging technologies that are shaping the future.
Overall, the project served as a valuable platform to inspire students to explore the evolving world of AI and develop an early interest in technology-driven innovation.
