On the International Day of Peace, 21st of September 2025, Leo Club of University of Moratuwa proudly held the project “Voices for Peace” at Galle Face, Colombo. The event served as a vibrant, open platform for individuals from all walks of life to express their thoughts, hopes and pledges for a world guided by compassion and harmony.
The project was more than a traditional gathering. Visitors, passersby and youth were invited to share their personal reflections on peace, unity and coexistence. Their thoughtful words were collected and shared to amplify these community voices, reminding everyone that peace begins when we truly listen to one another.
Creative displays and placards carrying inspiring messages of harmony added a colorful touch to the event, while open discussions encouraged participants to reflect on the value of empathy, respect and understanding. Every shared message, smile and voice reflected a collective desire for a more peaceful and inclusive tomorrow.
The project served as a powerful reminder that if peace starts with one voice, it becomes a powerful harmony when many speak as one. Leo Club of University of Moratuwa extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants, well-wishers and Leos whose efforts made this meaningful day a success.
