January 2024, Leo Club of University of Moratuwa launched the project
“Renovate’24” to restore a dilapidated bus stop at Hingurupaththala Junction,
Matara. This initiative, driven by our dedicated club members as volunteers,
aimed to increase the community's quality of life.
The project
involved not only painting the bus stop but also carrying out essential
repairs. That impact was immediate and valuable. Our members have repaired the
place Then, that bus stop provides shelter and uplifts the area's aesthetic
appeal. This transformation shows our commitment and dedication to improving public
spaces.
The

demonstrates the power of collective action and volunteerism in creating
positive change. We have shown that even small acts can significantly impact
society by coming together.
