The Leo Club of University of Moratuwa together with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers(IEEE) student chapter of University of Moratuwa being responsible as always did not
forget to help the needy in these difficult times in the best way possible.
Thus, the second phase of zero hunger was conducted at Ruhuna childrens' home,Kithulampitya on the 30th of March. Number of essential items for children including milk powder, green gram,
chickpea, dhal, sugar and coriander were donated for the children of the home. A moral up session was also conducted for the children along with the donation. Only two Leos participated for the event considering the prevailing situation in the country.
3 rd phase was also conducted on 6th April at the Matara area. We distributed essential things for
day to day activities for families who did not have a proper income. We distributed food to many families in that area throughout the day.
Although it was done overcoming many hardships, everyone was happy for being a helping hand to those innocent souls at this difficult time.
