ශිල්පසර

දැයෙහි දුවා දරුවන් දැනුමෙන් සන්නද්ධ කරනු වස් මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයීය ලියෝ සමාජය විසින් සංවිධානය කරනු ලැබූ ශිල්පසර සම්මන්ත්‍රණ මාලාව අ.පො.ස. සාමාන්‍ය පෙළ සිසුන්ගේ ගණිත දැනුම වර්ධනය කිරීම සඳහා සෑම මසකම පවත්වනු ලැබුවා. ඒ අනුව පළමු සම්මන්ත්‍රණය පසුගිය අගෝස්තු මස පැවැත් වූ අතර එතැන් සිට මේ දක්වා පහත සඳහන් පාසල්වල සහභාගීත්වයෙන් සම්මන්ත්‍රණ 10 ක් අති සාර්ථකව පවත්වනු ලැබූවා.

සෑම සම්මන්ත්‍රණයක දී ම අනුමාන ප්‍රශ්නපත්‍ර සාකච්ඡා කරනු ලැබූ අතර සිසුන්ගේ ගණිත දැනුම වර්ධනයට ප්‍රායෝගික ක්‍රියාකාරකම් ද සිදු කරන ලදී.

Mithran

Mithran is a traditional Thai Pongal celebration event organized by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa in collaboration with Leo Club of Colombo Monarch and Leo Club of Dehiwala East on 14th of January 2025. This vibrant cultural day was celebrated at Sri Venkateshwara Maha Vishnu Moorthy Kovil, Mount Lavinia and it was dedicated to embracing the spirit of Thai Pongal with joy and tradition.

Thai Pongal is not just a celebration. It’s a symbol of gratitude, unity and togetherness. At the Kovil, we shared the Pongal rice we prepared with fellow devotees spreading the warmth and generosity of the festival. That day was filled with the delicious taste of Pongal rice and the beauty of colourful Kolam decorations. 

A heartfelt thank you to all the dedicated volunteers and Leos who joined hands for the success of this project Mithran. Your efforts truly reflected the cultural harmony and festive spirit of this celebration.

ShineUp

On 22nd December 2024, Leo Club of University of Moratuwa proudly held Project ShineUp at Karagahawewa Maha Vidyalaya, Talawa, Anuradhapura. This initiative aimed to support school students in enhancing their volleyball skills by providing much-needed practice equipment.

The event was met with great enthusiasm from the students
who now have better resources to develop their athletic potential. It was a fulfilling experience to witness their excitement and determination. Project ShineUp marks another meaningful step in our journey to empower young talents and contribute to their success. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!

යෙහෙළි - 3 වන අදියරය - Penta Thive

දැයෙහි කාන්තා පරපුරට දිරියක් වෙමින් ඔවුන්ගේ ආර්ථිකය සවිබල ගැන්වීමට මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයීය ලියෝ සමාජය විසින් යෙහෙළි ව්‍යාපෘතියෙහි 3 වන අදියරය Penta Thive සංවිධානය කරන ලදි. එය දෙසැම්බර් මස 28 වන දා සිට දිවයින පුරා දිස්ත්‍රික්ක 5 ක් ආවරණය වන පරිදි පැවැත්විණි.

Penta Thive හි පළමු හා දෙවන උප ව්‍යාපෘති ලෙස ආභරණ නිෂ්පාදන ස්වයං රැකියා එක්දින වැඩමුළු මොරටුව ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කාර්යාලය සහ ගම්පහ දොම්පේ රැස්වීම් ශාලාව යන ස්ථානයන් හිදී සිදු කෙරුණි. 

තුන්වන හා හතරවන උප ව්‍යාපෘති ලෙස බයිට් නිෂ්පාදන ස්වයං රැකියා එක්දින වැඩමුළු කුරුණෑගල සුවසත්ති ග්‍රාමයේ දී සහ හලාවත මන්නක්කුලම ග්‍රාමයේ දී සිදු කෙරුණු අතර නුවර බෝගස්කුඹුර ග්‍රාමයේ දී සබන් නිෂ්පාදන ස්වයං රැකියා එක්දින වැඩමුළුවක් පස්වන උප ව්‍යාපෘතිය ලෙස දියත් කෙරුණි.

මෙම වෑයම තුළින් දිරිය කතුන්ට අත්වැලක් වී ඔවුන්ගේ ජීවන මඟට මංපෙත් තනන්නට ලියෝ සමාජයේ අපිට හැකි විය.
