Earth Care

The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it. Apparently, we are living on this planet as if we had another one to go to.

“Earth Care” was another attempt that was wielded by the Leo Club of University of Moratuwa in collaboration with the Leo club of SLIIT on the 9th of January 2021 from 6.00 P.M. via zoom, having the purpose of introducing an innovative approach as the worthy solution for the real-time garbage crisis that is rapidly emerging due to the daily generation of waste in firms in the business sector and domestically throughout Sri Lanka.

We would like to honourably thank, R.M.A.K. Rathnayake, the Instructor of Physical planning & Environment Division, Sri Lanka Institute of Local Governance, Ms Sarojini Jayasekara, the Director of Solid Waste Management, Central Environment Authority, Mr Nalin Mannapperuma, the Director of Western Province Waste Management Authority for sailing that moment to the success, adducing the relevant solutions for the garbage crisis whilst dedicating their valuable time in their busy lives. Moreover, a big thank goes to all who participated and made dedications to achieve this eminent advance in this session.

Let’s gather to inspire the kindness to our mother earth.
