“Donner La Sagesse” was a project conducted at Mathugama Diyapaththugama
S.A Welgama Kanishta Vidyalaya. This project was conducted jointly with the Siyapatha
Padanama on 12th of September 2014.We are really thankful to
Siyapatha Padanama, which is formed by a group of passed out graduates of our
university.
Main intention of the project was to strengthen the existing
library in the school. While donating the books requested by the school, we
were able to distribute Geometric tool boxes to all of the students in the
senior section of the school. In the senior section of the school there were 91
students & as we found out most of them found our donations useful since
they didn’t have geometric tool boxes on their own. All the donations worth
more than 25,000 LKR.
Further we organized an O/L seminar for the students of
grade 10 & 11. Our members discussed two papers related to mathematics
& science with them. Students were really happy about our presence there.
They expressed their gratitude about the program conducted there. Project “Donner
La Sagesse” was successfully ended up with Donner La Sagesse (Giving Wisdom).
