The annual blood donation organized by the LEO club of university of Moratuwa was successfully held on 24th November 2010 at the university health center. About 200 donors engaged enthusiastically for this occasion.
This was the 7th time that the blood donation was continuously organized by the LEO club of UoM. The donation was held in memorial of Mahesh Abaywickrama(Past President) , Piyumal Gunawardane(Past Member) and all war heroes who fought for the sake of the country. The occasion was commenced after the religious observations. It was going bit slowly at the beginning. However it was crowded after the noon. Not only students from all faculties but also non-academic staff members donated. The donation was held until 4.30 pm.
It should be thankful to all blood donors, staff of the blood bank, staff of the university health center and those who helped to make this event success.
